GHOSTBOND Motion wig glue held by a lace front wig wearer

Lace Wig Glue: Which GHOSTBOND to Choose and How to Use It

Every GHOSTBOND adhesive is labelled "Wig Glue", and the same five formulas are used for lace front wigs, units and men's hair systems. The right one for your wig depends on how often you take it off, how much you sweat and the finish you want at the hairline. This guide covers which to choose, how to prep, and how to remove your wig cleanly.

From 2 November 2026 GHOSTBOND adhesives come in new packaging, and four of the five have new names. It is the same formula with different packaging, so if you already have a favourite, nothing changes except the bottle.

The short answer

  • You take your wig off every night or every few days: GHOSTBOND Daily (formerly Glow Up). Peelable Tech for easy removal and a gentle daily formula.
  • You want the lace to look as natural as possible in photos, on camera or under bright light: GHOSTBOND Motion (formerly Supreme). A matte, no-shine finish designed to blend with skin tones on camera.
  • You train, work somewhere hot or have oily skin: GHOSTBOND Sport (formerly Platinum). Built for active lifestyles, with a hold that resists sweat and scalp oils.
  • You want your wig to stay put for weeks, whatever the weather: GHOSTBOND Endure (formerly XL). The all-climate adhesive, built for multi-week wear.
  • You want a dependable everyday hold: GHOSTBOND Classic. Dries clear.

Choosing by how you wear your wig

If you take your wig off often

Daily is designed for wearers who remove and reapply regularly. Its Peelable Tech makes removal easy, and the gentle daily formula suits shorter wear cycles.

If the hairline is what matters most

Motion dries to a matte, no-shine finish designed to blend with skin tones on camera, and it was made for film, TV and stage. The subtle purple hue is part of the formula. It is a strong choice for the front of a lace wig, where the lace meets the skin.

If sweat or oily skin lifts your lace

Sport is built for active lifestyles, with a hold that resists sweat and scalp oils. GHOSTBOND describes it as its strongest hold.

If you want to install and leave it

Endure is GHOSTBOND's all-climate adhesive, built to hold in heat and humidity and stay secure in the cold, for multi-week wear.

How to prep before you apply

  1. Start with clean, dry skin along the hairline, with no oil, make-up or old adhesive left on it.
  2. Apply GHOSTBOND Scalp Protector, which preps the skin before your adhesive, and let it dry.
  3. If sweat or oil is a problem for you, GHOSTBOND No Sweat Scalp Spray leaves the scalp feeling dry and fresh before adhesive is applied.
  4. Apply thin, even layers of wig glue and let each layer dry before the next. Follow the directions and patch-test guidance on the bottle.
  5. Press the lace down firmly from the centre outwards, and avoid touching it while the adhesive sets.

Our step-by-step application guide covers the method in more detail. The technique is the same for a lace front wig and a hair system.

How to remove your wig cleanly

GHOSTBOND BondBreak is the skin-friendly remover. Apply it along the hairline to help break down the bond, give it time to work, then lift the lace gently rather than pulling. Afterwards, GHOSTBOND BondGone cleans adhesive residue from the lace so the wig is ready for its next install. BondGone is for the wig only, not for use on skin.

1.3 oz or 5 oz?

Every GHOSTBOND adhesive comes in 1.3 oz (38 ml) and 5 oz (147 ml). The smaller bottle is ideal for trying a new adhesive or for travel. If you install regularly and know which one suits you, the 5 oz bottle costs less per millilitre and lasts much longer.

Frequently asked questions

Which GHOSTBOND is best for a lace front wig?

It depends on how you wear it. Daily suits wearers who take their wig off often, Motion gives a matte finish designed to blend with skin tones at the hairline, Sport resists sweat and scalp oils, and Endure is built for multi-week wear.

Is wig glue the same as hair system glue?

Yes. GHOSTBOND's five adhesives are used for lace front wigs, units and men's hair systems alike. The same prep and removal products work for both.

What happened to GHOSTBOND XL, Platinum, Supreme and Glow Up?

They have been renamed. XL is now Endure, Platinum is now Sport, Supreme is now Motion and Glow Up is now Daily. Classic keeps its name. Same Formula, Different Packaging.

Can I still buy the previous packaging?

Yes, while stock lasts. You will find both the new and the previous packaging in our lace wig glue collection.
