Hair samples received from our clients determine which hair type is the best to use for their individual hair system. We match your hair samples to ensure your hair replacement integrates with your natural hair.
We specialise in European unprocessed and Remi hair types as they offer the best quality, colour retention and natural movement.
There are different hair types but they are offered in different grades. It is important to understand the processing of the hair because it affects the overall quality of the hair.
Processed Hair means the cuticle has been removed and colour work has been applied to match your hair samples.
In all cases the hair cuticle is removed. The removal of the cuticle makes Processed Hair easier to ventilate into any type of hair system. This means any ventilator (person working to put hair into the hair system) can work with the hair.
Semi Processed Hair
Semi Processed Hair means the cuticle has been scraped but not removed. Not removing the cuticle means there is no friction when the hair lies in different directions.
When ventilated correctly the hair system will have movement and freedom. More skilled and experienced ventilators are used with Semi Processed Hair.
Unprocessed Hair is by its very name, ‘Unprocessed’. The hair has a full cuticle and no colour work is applied because the hair is matched to your hair samples.
When ventilating, specialist knotting skills are used where the ends are looped in the same direction as the hair in the system. This enables the hair to move remarkably well with full freedom, like natural hair.
Only the most experienced and skilled ventilators are used when working with Unprocessed Hair.
We do not offer Synthetic Hair Systems, but we use Synthetic Hair to provide colour blends for ‘greys and whites’ because the Synthetic Hair will not take up colour when the rest of the hair is dyed.
However, we also offer grey and white human hair if you wish to use natural hair. We use natural hair for highlights colours other than grey or white.
We guarantee to use the best hair types in our custom hair systems.
European Unprocessed Hair
As it sounds, raw natural hair with the cuticle kept in the hair root. The colour stays in the hair the longest compared to the hair types used in hair systems.
The reason for this is the hair colour is natural and the hair is not porous as it is unprocessed.
This hair type is very difficult to source and usually offered in the most expensive hair systems used by movie stars, the rich and the famous.
We have a unique regular source for this hair type and are pleased to offer this to all our clients if your natural hair matches this type.
Asian Hair is mainly for dark colours and has a slightly thicker hair shaft than the European Unprocessed Hair.
This is a great hair type and offered to clients whose natural hair has a thicker hair shaft than European Hair.
Hair is available unprocessed (known as Asian Remi Hair), Semi Processed and also Processed.
Chinese Remi Unprocessed Hair
Chinese Hair has a straight hair direction.
Same benefits as Asian Remi Hair and European Hair, because the hair holds colour longer and keeps its shine.
A great hair type and is offered to clients as an alternative to Asian Remi and European Unprocessed.
Hair is available unprocessed (known as Chinese Remi Hair), Semi Processed and also Processed.
Yaki Hair is used as an African hair type. The hair is top quality Asian hair and is processed to give the same texture as African hair.
We have 5 different types of textures, all depending on client’s needs.
Kinki Straight Hair is a textured hair type normally worn by people of African descent. It is top quality Asian hair processed to give a natural African hair like texture, but it is not as curly as Yaki Hair.
For both types of hair, we have colour shades of black, brown and red.
Processed Chinese and Asian Hair
The cuticle is stripped and allows freedom for any style.
Processed Hair means the cuticle has been removed and colour work has been applied to match your Hair Samples.
Processed Hair is easier to ventilate into a hair system of any kind due to removal of cuticle.
This hair type is the most commonly used hair in the majority of hair replacement systems because as we have mentioned it is stripped and chemically coloured to match your hair colour.
We are honest enough to tell you that this is the hair type used in our Pre-Custom range so we can get the systems to you in a short period of time.
We recommend not using this hair type in Custom Hair Systems so please take our advice and opt for unprocessed hair. Our prices ensure you can afford to purchase these hair replacement systems as we want you to look your best.
We will always recommend the best hair type to use based on your natural hair type.
